Theatrical Software Question

Hey all, Just a quick question re: computer software... When I was a kid I came across an advert for a program which let you completely design your stage show. You had actor models which you could program and tell them where to move and things, you could design your set with backdrops, lighting effects, sound effects, record lines through a mic so the characters could speak them - so essentially you could see how your show could potentially turn out. Of course, being a kid, I didn't have the foresight to write the name of this program down, nor has an extensive google search been able to assist me. Does anyone know of a program with these kind of capabilities?

Wsywig is a lighting

Wsywig is a lighting program that has most of those capabilities although I'm not sure about the recordig lines part.. But I'm pretty sure there'd be an add on for that anyway. You can build 3d set and stages. Also grand ma 3D simulater is another great program. A bit more sofisticated with a few more features and better graphics. It'd be good to hear how you go.

Just in case anyone thinks

Just in case anyone thinks Angela made a typo: http://www.xentrik.net/software/downloads/wsywig_light_design_software.html (Not WYSIWYG, aka an editor for typing stuff on the net)

WSIWYG a lighting software

WSIWYG a lighting software package is available from https://www.cast-soft.com/ WSIWYG is not just an editor for HTML but a full, expensive #D lighting software package. The other link that was posted just leads to rather tacky software unfortunately. Stephen Dean Ramblings of a Techie www.theatretechgeek.wordpress.com

Bahahahha... I spelt it

Bahahahha... I spelt it wrong again!! Damn iPhone and it's auto correcting.. But yes wysiwyg is correct.. Good program, not hard to use either.. It also allows you to print the lighting plan when your done so you can transfer it to the rig really easily.
