For TEE students looking for a safe and supportive environment to practice and receive feedback on their original solos and scripted monologues. Participants will present their monologues to the group and receive feedback from Perth actor and director Sarah McKellar and from the group if they choose. These classes are appropriate for students who are having trouble creating a solo they are passionate about or who simply want an opportunity to practice performing in front of new people. Students are welcome to bring scripted (published) monologues to work on if they prefer. The classes include: - Learning to warm up properly - Introduction to devising techniques for innovative theatrical material - Learning the Positive Feedback Model to ensure a supportive creative environment - Presentation and workshopping of one monologue per student - A take-home worksheet with techniques for the continued development of their monologue Saturdays, 10am-1pm at the Blue Room Theatre, Northbridge. Classes will be running Saturdays, September 11th, 18th and 25th. Classes are casual – participants can commit to one or many. Cost: $15, payable in cash on the day. Please wear comfortable clothing that allows unrestricted movement. Classes are limited to 10 places to ensure adequate time for each participant, so bookings are essential: smckellar@live.com.au / 0449 067 845 Additional classes may be added in the afternoons, 2-5pm – please register interest via email. -------------- Sarah McKellar is a Perth actor, director and dramaturge who specialises in devised theatre. This is the last week this class will be running, so get in quick before your exams! I am also available for private tuition if you can't make it on a Saturday or if you feel you need additional help. Content of each class can vary depending on needs of the participants. If you would like to concentrate on improvisation rather than your monologue, we can work that in. You can give me a call or discuss your needs with me on the day. :D
