Production Team Wanted!!

Applications are now open for a production team for the SYMT July 2011 show. Your application should include: details of the production team (director, musical director, and choreographer). Please also include a short summary of the show you would like to direct, including lead cast, cast numbers, a short description of the proposed set, costuming details etc. Feel free to include 2 or 3 show options. SYMT rehearses on Saturdays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the West Pennant Hills scout hall in Wilga Street. Extra rehearsals can be arranged at the discretion of the director. The show will be performed at the Hornsby RSL over 2 weekends in July (usually in or around school holidays). The production team will receive nominal remuneration. For more information contact admin@symt.org.au Sydney Youth Musical Theatre aims to give young people the opportunity to explore and develop skills in theatre and to develop the desire and ability to achieve the highest standard of excellence in musical theatre. The aims of the group have certainly reached a superb standard with our recent productions. SYMT presents two productions each year for young people between the ages of ten and twenty-five. In July every year our fourteen to twenty five year olds take to the stage in a huge production which has been in rehearsal for up to five months. Our July production is of an extremely high standard, with a large budget and team of solid workers spending untold time to present a professional quality production, that sees up to 3000 guests attend the performances.
