With the sickening sense of deja vu, I knew what was coming next. I'd been here before, But when or how I couldn't quite connect. (Bob Geldorf) Actually I do know when... last time I held auditions. I am seeking men. Auditions for Old Mill's fourth season for the year, Away by Michael Gow are on Saturday May 29th. Season runs August 6th – 21st 2010. I have had lots of interest from young men wanting to play Tom and no other men at all! I need three men of 40+ to fill the roles of; Roy – 40+, school principal Jim – 40+, Meg’s Dad Harry – 40+, Tom’s Dad, English plus another few for smaller parts. I'd love to have these men come to audition and not have to chase around for them afterwards! This is an excellent play. Funny. moving and powerful. Cool late sixties costumes and music. . I'd also like to hear from a few more 35+ ladies for the roles of; Gwen – 35+, Meg’s mum, uptight Vic – 35+, Tom’s Mum, English Coral – 35+, Roy’s wife, grieving plus a few others for smaller parts. Please see the audition notice in that section of this site and contact director, Vanessa Jensen, on vandlars@bigpond.net.au using Away as the subject heading. Cheers, Vanessa
