Perth Theatre Workshop Forums at the Blue Room
Sat, 6 Feb 2010, 06:38 pmFestival Fever is upon us! PIAF has officially opened and the Magdalena Perth Theatre Workshop Festival is almost here.
If you wanted to attend a workshop but were unable to committ to the full five days, you still have a chance to be involved, as the evening forums are open to the public. And yes - that includes men (for those of you who knew Magdalena traditionally supports women in the arts).
Perth artists please note: there are many interstate artists taking part in this event, so if you were thinking of making a shift, now's your chance to chew someone' ear...
FORUM PROGRAMME
Tues 9th - Sat 13th Feb 2010
Tuesday 9th: Opening night welcome - drinks, nibbles, networking, and a work-in-progress performance from local theatre troupe The Duck House, to get the ball rolling.
Wednesday 10th: Short and Sweet - open performance night. Workshop participants present short works for fun and feedback. Email us if you'd like to present something!
Thursday 11th: Dramaturgy in Contemporary Theatre - key artists discuss. If you've never quite understood what a dramaturg is or does, this is a good way to find out! Bring some questions.
Friday 12th: 'No Door on Her Mouth' - work in progress showing from local artist Dawn Albinger.
Saturday 13th: Where to from here? Closing night mingle and discussion.
Each forum is at 7.30 at the Blue Room in Northbridge. Bookings are preferred as we have a limited seats available. Tickets are $15 per night or $50 for the whole week (5 nights). Email magdalenaperth@gmail.com to book or for more details, or try your luck on the night.
Get some theatre in ya!!
