Has anyone heard from VCA/NIDA/WAAPA yet?

Hey all, For people who got called back, has anyone heard whether they've made it into the acting courses for 2010 yet? Good Luck all :) xox

I have friend who was called back for Theatre at WAAPA and he was advised he'd been unsuccessful last week sometime.

Theatre as in music theatre or drama? Maybe it's different depending on the state. I'm from Melbourne and we got told this was the week we find out. Haven't heard back just yet, word going around is that it will be mid week, but was just wondering if anyone had heard yet.

Theatre as in Acting; ie. Adv Dip Performing Arts (Acting) at WAAPA. Musical Theatre final callbacks (dance part) in Perth were last Wednesday. I know the people who got in from Perth have already been offered their places. If you don't hear shortly either way, then you may be on the 2nd round offer list, in case someone declines an offer. Don't know the exact drill anymore, but it is likely all first round offers would have been made at the same time, no matter where you are from. So it's likely you haven't got a 1st round offer on this occasion. But take heart!!! I'm only speculating and also, if you haven't heard at all then you may get a 2nd round offer. No news might be good news...sort of. PS. Oops, you are only talking Acting, right? Don't know the nitty gritty about when those callbacks ended. So hang in there! No news might still be good news....

LOL!!! Yeah I auditioned for acting :) I'm not too fussed if I don't get an offer, waapa is a fair distance so it's not my first choice, but was more interested in when the calls were actually being made. As I said, they told us the second week but as you say looks like we'll just have to wait and see given people already have offers. Thanks for letting me know :) It just sucks having to make sure my phone is charged LOL ;)
