The Brisbane theatre scene

As a budding Journalism student and Theatre Critic (www.brisbanecritiques.com) in Brisbane, I have decided to write a piece on the current theatre scene in Brisbane. I have lined up a number of interviews with local theatre company establishers, directors, and actors. I would also like to invite anyone who wishes to comment on the topic in the forum to please do so under this post. It would be valuable research for my article. It is my belief that theatre in Brisbane is somewhat an 'underworld' (although those involved in theatre may find this hard to recognise), however is a strong platform for emerging artists and is home to a large amount of artistic talent. The direction of my story has not yet been established as no interviews have been conducted as yet. Please feel free to make a comment, your thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Kellie Scott
