Hello, i am a early teen searching for a reputable agent. I've been looking at at Catherine Poulton but my parents and i have decided that i want a bit more experience. I was wondering who Caitlin stasey's(from neighbours) agent was or Matthew Werkmeister(neighbours)or any of the other younger actors on the show. If anyone could post the name of their Melbourne agents here that would be great!

Hmm, look - a similar

Hmm, look - a similar entry! http://www.theatre.asn.au/blog/lilfiz/which_agent_deal_with_neighbours Also, try reading the FAQ. Many of the regulars put a lot of time and effort into writing the info there about agents. Puppets and patterns at Puppets in Melbourne

Why don't you try

Why don't you try www.IMdB.com You will need to sign up, and maybe pay a membership fee to get that information. This is predominantly a theatre site. Of course, you could do the footwork yourself, and not expect someone to just hand you the information yourself. I'm guessing no-one here knows who her agent is, and would need to go looking for the information elsewhere. The link Na has given you is the best info we've got. www.meltheco.org.au

You could ring Channel 10

You could ring Channel 10 or Fremantle Media and ask, perhaps.

The point of the link -

The point of the link - second post down - was Labrug's explanation that no single agent works on getting actors on Neighbours. In other words, all agents have the opportunity to submit actors for auditions for TV shows. If you have a legit and decent agent, and your acting skills and experience meet the requirements of that sort of audition (a tough one to land I'm guessing), then it shouldn't matter which agent you're signed with. A good agent will work with you to land a role that you would like (try reading the FAQ and you might discover that agents don't hire you, you hire them). Indeed, as a young credulous teen, I recommend reading the FAQ anyway, since you are probably not aware of many things regarding agents and how they work. ... The other thing to point out is that if you trawl through agent websites, they often state who they represent (especially if they're regularly on TV, since that is good publicity for their company, as it shows that they can land their actors those sorts of jobs). Sorry to say that that sort of information - who is represented by who - is not really something discussed, and you may just have to bite the bullet and (as Jeff says) do the legwork yourself. Many of us can point you in the right direction, but it's up to you to read, learn, and make it happen. Puppets and patterns at Puppets in Melbourne

Acting or Neighbours?

Perhaps you may need to clarify your personal reasons for wanting to have an agent in the first place. If getting on Neighbours is your sole motivation and goal for your acting dreams then perhaps it's not necessarily an ongoing career as a professional actor that you seek. If you are successful in securing an agent then they will expect that you will invest similar enthusiasm and determination in any casting they put you up for, not just Neighbours roles (which are few and far between). Despite all this, if getting to say you met Toady and Steph is still the force driving your agent pursuit, then I recommend seeking out an extras agent. They are comparatively easier to get get in to and far more likely to get you wandering about in the background on the Neighbours set amongst your favourite actors. Hope this helps. Tulipa.

I can tell you that Matthew

I can tell you that Matthew Werkmeister is with Talent Company of Australia - this is definite because they are my agent too. Most of the rest are with CPM though... To join Talent Company of Australia (TCA), you have to be a member, past member or sibling of a member of the Children's Performing Company of Australia (CPCA). This is a drama school for 5-18 year olds. Hope I helped :)
