JC CASTING Presents: Demystifying Casting Workshop for Children

Established Perth Casting Director, Jenni Cohen, is offering one-off school holiday workshops for children and parents : DEMYSTIFYING CASTING FOR CHILDREN Course Details: Suitable for 7 – 11 years of age Date: Monday 5th October 2009, 9.30a.m.–12 noon Venue: Subiaco Arts Centre, 180 Hamersley Rd, Subiaco WA. Fees: $165.00 for parent & child together Course Teachers: Jenni Cohen & Frances Moylan Closing date for application and payment: 29th September 2009 This workshop is aimed towards children AND their parents to introduce them to casting and working in the performing arts. Children will be sent a script prior, to prepare and possibly perform, and participants will also be called on for impromptu “auditions”. You will have the invaluable opportunity to see the process, ask questions and gain insight into what really happens in the audition room. JC Casting successfully ran this workshop in January 2009 at the national Australian Screentests, Sydney.
