Regarded as one of Chekhov’s masterpieces, The Seagull is a play about tragic alliances, eloquent thoughtlessness and silent sufferings. It centres on the romantic and artistic conflicts that arise between the fading leading lady Arkadina, her son the playwright Konstantin, the aspiring actress Nina and the manipulative author Trigorin. The Seagull will be performed as a workshop production in repertoire with Ivanov.
