ACTRESS/PIANO PLAYER (40s+) WANTED

WE HAPPY FEW performing at Old Mill Theatre, May 1-16. This comedy/drama follows the adventures of a group of women during World War II who form a theatre company to perform around Britain to help boost morale. Although we have been overwhelmed with over 70 people auditioning for WE HAPPY FEW, we find ourselves very short for one particular role. Gertrude Rosebaum is a Jewish German evacuee to London during WWII. She can be 40s to 60s in age. She has a 20yr old son. She's grumpy, often rude, but at heart helpful and sincere. And she plays the piano. In the play this involves two main pieces plus background music on occassion and "silent movie type" music for a panto scene and some Shakespeare scenes. So we need an actress and a piano player all in one. We are having additional auditions this coming weekend, 7th & 8th of February.
