Hey guys, I'm new here so i'm not sure if this is the right place to post or not. Anywho, i've got an interview next week and an "extras" casting agency and was wandering if you guys had any tips on what to wear? Is it like business attire or should i wear something a bit more 'funky' or "smart cas." etc? Any tips/advice would be much appreciated!! :) Emma

Extras Outfits

Hi Emma, Extras are sometimes referred to as 'atmosphere people'. In other words, a collection of bodies that 'look' as though they might be the sort of people you would find in a particular scenario. An effort with regards to your grooming and appearance is pretty much mandatory for any job interview or introduction to an agency. Extras are predominantly cast based on their look. Simply wearing the kind of clothes you feel most comfortable in, the sort of stuff you wear most of the week is not such a bad move. Your 'look', who you are and what kind of image you wear is handy for an agent to know. On set, extras are very rarely processed my hair/make-up and wardrobe personel. You are cast as, and pretty much need to turn up as the image they need you to be. Giving your agent a clue about who you are can help them to determine the best jobs to place you in and save you heaps of stress and money trying to locate clothes for a job to create a look which is foreign to you. Hope this helps. Tulipa
