In London for a month - does anyone know any contacts

I'm in London at the moment and I have been doing a few short courses here, I was wondering if anyone knows anyone here in acting that I can talk to about getting into the industry here? I have figured out that it is a tough gig here in the UK getting work and getting an agent, I will be returning to Aussie soon but I wanted to build my network here and try and get work.

Have you checked out The Stage Online? It's a very good mag. Also, there are heaps of online forums for the UK industry; you might find a list on the UK actor's equity website.
