The Wiz... help please

Hi, I'm a teacher, directing The Wiz at my school next year. I'm finding the staging pretty difficult to get my head around. If you have produced The Wiz I would appreciate any advice of how to stage it, or any pictures would be great!! If you are in Sydney and have sets/costumes/props I would be very interested. Have a look on you tube, I went looking for WIZ lighting and found enough clips to get an idea of what is involved. Saw lots of bad ideas as well as good ideas, but that's ok as it helps to know in advance what not to do.
