Wow - I wouldn't bother
Wow - I wouldn't bother with the site. It's very crudely made, and the site links off to jobs on Careerone. Furthermore, their 'news' is all scalped from the ABC's arts site.
My opinion: AVOID. Careerone never had the in on legit arts jobs to begin with. This is just some guy who wants to make money off of the Google ads (prove me wrong G... you know who you are)
A wannabe Arts Hub. DNSstuff shows the site was bought only last month. Additionally, the member who posted it has a link in their profile to a similarly bad Japan 'news' site. Do yourself a favour and pay for a subscription at Arts Hub, Quietonset, or Aussietheatre.com - you'd be better off.

Peace on Earth
Dear N.G,
Thanks for your insightful opinions and suggestions. Arts Hub (For $99 a year) is indeed a much more comprehensive web site than http://www.artsgrantsfinder.com (free).
I would also like to thank you for your comments about www.pillowtalkjapan.com . On first glance, your comments do seem a little unrelated and spitefully negative, but after further perusal I realise that actually you are just offering friendly creative criticism. I wholeheartedly thank you as you have rekindled my belief that humanity is inherently 'good'.
I wish you well in your future endeavors and please keep the unsolicited reviews and criticism flowing!
Thanks!

If you saw spite in that
If you saw spite in that you're dreaming.
If you're trying to point out that your site is better because it's free: no, it's not. No one will ever find legitimate arts jobs by going to Career one. You have linked to jobs that are pretty much 'adult' dance jobs (read: porn and/or stripping). If you can honestly believe that you are doing the arts world a service, then I suggest you do better research.
I ran a free online arts jobs/news service for four years and have considerable experience in this area. My comments are not out of spite but out of an informed background.
Yes, I agree Arts Hub charges a lot; they are also privy to most of the paid arts jobs available in Australia, as well as having exclusive information on many occasions. They spend 9-5 , five days a week researching relevant info. The people who run the company (not including the current owner, who is not in the arts) have an arts/journalism/theatre background. This costs money, which is what the subscription pays for: the employees' salary.
Furthermore, there are any number of free websites that do provide information, such as Aussietheatre.com, which do provide useful and legit jobs and info. They also spend a lot of time researching, and as such provide better info than you have currently on your site.
Thirdly, I hope you have read the copyright notices on all the sites you are harvesting information from, and have ensured that you are not going to be sued for copyright infringement.
Your forum members seem just as clueless: Arts Hub will never run a free jobs listing to the public, since this is how they make their money. They used to run a free service by which you could upload jobs that are available in your company; they don't offer that anymore. Career one and Seek are not at all advisable to find legit jobs unless you're looking for council admin and/or tech jobs; even then, they are scant because this is a niche area and the people working at Careerone and Seek do not spend their time looking for arts jobs. (I know this for a fact: I know someone who works at Careerone and was surprised that anyone would have set up a site like Arts Hub because they - C1 - see it too much as a niche area)
My comments come out of a high respect for my fellow colleagues in the arts, and the wish to see no one taken advantage of. You are, in my opinion, trying to take advantage of people and/or presenting information which could potentially take advantage of people. That is not a service for the industry, but one which will harm it.
Frankly, I couldn't care less if you offered competition from any of the legit sites I've mentioned, I believe in sharing the info there is. But you're not doing much more than providing potentially harmful job ads to young and naive people.
Perhaps if you would care to enlighten us on your arts background and what kind of research you've gone into to create your site?
