THEATRE CLASIFICATIONS/RATINGS
Mon, 18 Aug 2008, 06:33 pmHello everyone!!
My name is Tom Noble, I'm a Drama student at QUT and part of the stduent theatre company, Vena Cava Productions.
I reach out to the broad chasm of knowledge, looking for information regarding Clasifications/ratings for live theatre shows. eg offensive material warnings, strobe lighting, violence
what are the standard warnings that are sent out with publicity for a show and/or displayed in the theatre?
is there a higher power that has listed such warnings or is it simply down to the perogative of the company?
The problem we face is simply of the wording of such warnings, we understand that they would be similiar to the ones play on films through their classification board, but am just curious what the standard is for live theatre.
If someone were to have knowledge of such listings, I would be greatly appreciative to hear from you!!
many thanks
Tom Noble
