HELP! Teaching Yr 10 Dance
Thu, 31 July 2008, 10:35 amI am a first year gradaute of secondary teaching and have studied how to teach English and Drama.
I now find myself in the position of taking a Year Ten Dance class as of Monday.
Though I have a background in some forms of dance (and love it) I have no knowledge of the Dance syllabus and no one in the school to ask for resources.
I am therefore putting out a general plea to anyone who has taught dance, particularly in a WA high school setting, for any resources, suggestions, words of advice, to accompany my own research and hasty reading-up of the curriculum documents.

( once you are there look for the K-10 Dance syllabus and requirements)
I am sure that if you ring the CEO for example and ask them for their dance moderator, they will be able to help you with some resources. DET should have someone too.
