CAN WA is able to offer an unexpected and exciting opportunity to network and learner from some fantastic community theatre practitioners from Thailand.
The Makhampom Theatre Group is visiting Perth after performing and presenting at the 16th ASSITEJ World Congress and Performing Arts Festival in Adelaide. They will run a workshop based around their recent publication ‘The Art of Peace – a Toolkit of Theatre Art for Conflict Resolution’ (which will be on sale at the workshop for $20).
Date: Friday 30th May 2008
Place: Blue Room Theatre - Rehearsal Studio
53 James Street, Northbridge
Price: $80 CAN WA/Blue room members / $120 non members (workshop) FREE! (presentation)

Successes and Learnings from Makhampom Theatre Group

The Workshop will cover:
- Exploring context - conflict mapping exercises
- Roots of conflict - power, identity, discrimination - series of conflict based games
- Video presentation of refugee camp - based conflict resolution workshop
- Presentation of Art and Peace Publication
If you are at all interested in attending the workshop and/or the presentation please register your interest and according payment ASAP to secure your place.
Payment (cheque, credit or direct deposit) for the workshop must be forwarded to CAN WA by the 29th May.
