Just another thought regarding classes... I haven't tried the Actor's Now classes so I can't comment on those, but I have been to the PAC screen worskshops, they're great if you want more experience behind of or in front of a camera and want to network with other aspiring film makers and actors, which would probably be great experience for you at this stage. The classes are about $250 for 8 weeks, which is about average. As a performer who has mostly worked in theatre, I found them interesting and fun but not too taxing or time consuming, and I've heard a lot of people say the same. They also run voice classes. I'd recommend you visit their website and get on their mailing list. Actually, get on everyone's mailing list! This will keep you informed of what's going on in theatre. And go see theatre. And get involved in local theatre. From memory, try www.screenworkshops.com.au but if that's not right just search PAC screen workshops. Also, on the agency side of things, if you want to get representation I would really recommend you get a professional head shot done, and ask for help or look into how to do a proper theatre CV. As other people have mentioned, the more professional these things look, the more it works for you. Look on the agency websites for examples of how they prefer CV's to be set out. And doing the classes at Actor's Now may give you a chance to see whether you like interacting with that agency. Also, it's good to see you taking an interest in developing your skills and not just saying, 'I'm an actor, please hire me'! Good luck with your future in performance.
