Seeking experience with make-up artist

Hello! I'm looking for work experience with make-up artists in Melbourne. I'm happy to help in any way I can (carrying things, cleaning things, applying make-up, making coffee etc.), I'm just after a bit of a peek at the industry. I hope to find out if this career is for me, so any experience with any kind of make-up would be great. I am particularly interested in special effects make-up. Alternatively, if you're in a theatre group or you know of any up-coming productions where this could be a possiblity, I would so much appreciate any contact details. Thank you kindly :)
