Has any good plays or musicals come from Brisbane?

I was wondering if there are many, if any, great plays or even musicals (maybe harder) that have begun in Brisbane, Australia, either by a writer from Brisbane or Actors? Let's Chat! (Want to learn more)

Are you meaning ones that are nationally, or internationally, famous? I'm sure there are plenty of great plays coming from QLD, but obviously, not all will be well-known. It is well known, however, that Australian playwrights have a great difficult getting their plays seen at all, no matter what location they're in. Personally, I don't know of any QLD playwrights, famous or not. So perhaps someone else will answer your question better. However, have you checked out AWG (The Australian Writers Guild)? They would have information on well-known QLD playwrights. Are you just looking for info, or are you looking for a script to perform? You could try asking La Boite Theatre Company who, I believe, have always had a policy of doing new, local works. From memory Jill Shearer was from Queensland and got her stuff on with them. Are you asking just out of curiosity or where you hoping to put on a Queensland play?? "Papa, where is Mama? They tell me she has gone away, where is she?"
