THIS IS YOUR LIFE (sort of) - coming to the ABC Local Radio airwaves this Sunday night at 7.30pm!

From live on stage to live on radio, THIS IS YOUR LIFE (sort of) – starring Jimmy James Eaton, Glenn Hall and Xavier Michelides along with Craig Williams – continues to enjoy popular and critical success. In the spirit of 'Thank God You’re Here' crossed with 'Australian Story', THIS IS YOUR LIFE (sort of) offers fast-paced improvised theatre and side-splitting hilarity – as audience members’ life stories are reenacted on the spot. Following its sell-out season at The Blue Room, THIS IS YOUR LIFE (sort of) will be coming LIVE to the radio waves on 720 ABC Perth and statewide on ABC Local Radio when the show is piloted this Sunday 30th September at 7.30pm. Sarah Knight, Program Director for 720 ABC Perth was suitably impressed when she attended the show on opening night of its season at The Blue Room – and this was further reinforced when she attended the show again later that week. So much so that she decided to get the talented cast together to produce a pilot episode to air live on ABC Local Radio. “We encourage, risky, cutting edge radio at 720 ABC Perth, and there's nothing riskier than a live program with no script... or interviewees!” Ms Knight said. The show will follow a similar format to the on-stage version – sharing audience member’s stories – and will provide the same opportunities for live audience interaction – via phone, SMS and email. Just to a much larger audience with no geographical boundaries. Ms Knight hopes to make the show a regular fixture on the ABC Local Radio airwaves, with the view to have the Perth-based production air nationally. “This is what I got into radio for – fun, seat of the pants excitement and challenge and I'm really looking forward to working with Glenn, Jimmy, Xavier and Craig this Sunday... and hopefully in the future.” The cast of Jimmy James Eaton, Glenn Hall, Xavier Michelides and Craig Williams – all popular actors and comedians in their own right – are thrilled with the reception the show has received during its three-week season at The Blue Room and are delighted with the response from ABC Local Radio.
