There are tickets available for the WA premiere of David Williamson's 'Up For Grabs' which opens this friday at the Kwinana Arts Centre - Sulphr Road, Kwinana. For those who are tossing up whether to come down to see the show, but think it's too far. Think again, Kwinana Arts Centre is only 25 min from Perth. Also, this is not an overly long play - it will be done by 10pm, so it won't be too late a night. Please see following details for the play and bookings number. Kwinana Theatre Workshopi's next production will be David Williamsons: Up For Grabs. Directed by Paul Treasure. Casti: Simone - Kristen Twynam-Perkins Gerry - Adam Salathiel Manny - Lee Wright Felicity - Kimberley Shaw Dawn - Melinda Sklenars Kel - Don Lee Mindy - Joy Norton (Yes you have read correctly Up For Grabs marks the return to the stage of not one but two Finlay Award Winning Directors, Kimberley Shaw and Lee Wright, after 8 and 11 years respectively.) The story deals with the efforts of Simone, a young fledgling art dealer, to sell a painting by Australian artist Brett Whitely for a record $2 million and thereby establish herself at the “big end of town”. This ambition turns to desperation when she signs a contract guaranteeing this price. Performances: August 17, 18, 22, 24 & 25 at 8pm 19 & 25 2pm. Adult - $17 & Conc - $15 Ticket bookings on 9439 0290 (after hrs 9528 2220) Kwinana Arts Centre - Sulphur Road, Kwinana

I am stunned. The above

I am stunned. The above comment shows an incredibly unpleasant prejudice. Do you really believe that dancers are incapable of becoming actors. Why is that? Do you have some antedeluvian belief that all dancers are bodies without brains? No wonder you have remained anonymous Star Actress. I could give you a list of the specialist dancers who have gone on to become highly regarded actors in the professional world but frankly I doubt that someone of your limited intelligence would have ever heard of them. Tell you what I'll start off with Jimmy Cagney, Gates MacFadden, Ginger Rogers anyone else want to play. Is that all there is? Well if that's all there is my friend, then let's keep dancing. www.tonymoore.id.au
