Melbourne Based Singing/Music Group Idea
Thu, 21 June 2007, 09:19 pmHi everyone. I was wondering if anyone in the Melbourne area would be interested in starting a recreational singing/music group. I have been thinking about it for a little while now and I thought it would be a good way for young musicians, such as myself, to meet new people and have fun doing something they all have in common.
I thought this would be a good place to start a discussion about such an idea as I believe there are quite a few young people on these forums that like Musical Theatre, Classical Music and other types of music. I don't know many young performers myself, and I would like to meet new people who have the same passion for music that I do.
This is just a very sketchy Idea. And I just wanted to see if anyone was interested.

Hi Michael,
I just noticed your post on theatre.asn.au and was wondering if you got much of a response or if anything was organised?! I think its a great idea. I arrived in Melbourne about 5 months ago from Dublin, Ireland and am always wanting to meet new people - and especially new musical friends! I sing myself. I love all the musicals, have studied a bit of classical music and am in an electronic band at home.
So let me know if anything is happening and I'll b there!

Singing
Hey there!
My friend and i absolutely love singing, we were kinda lookin for a group to sing for fun, maybe start a band, who knows...Where would we practice???
