'Unbearable Brothers' Casting Call
Tue, 17 Apr 2007, 11:40 pmEdith Cowan University is calling on committed volunteer actors to play the roles in a 2nd Year short film currently in Pre-Production entitled "UNBEARABLE BROTHERS."
TWO (2) male actors and ONE (1) female actor are required. Character profiles are as follows and any committed actors interested should call to confirm an audition time slot allocation. Professional/Aspiring actors "ALL" welcome... Each character profile has 'must pass for' age requirements. Whether or not you are/are not this age is irrelevant so long as your look can pass for the required age.
CHARACTER PROFILES - "UNBEARABLE BROTHERS" :-
STEPHEN : must pass for 14 to 18 year old Male.
- Teenage student role.
- Caring and good-willed.
- Mature.
- Quick to temper.
- Neatly dressed.
MICHAEL : must pass for 11 to 14 year old Male.
- Young student role.
- Obnoxious, annoying and manipulative.
- Immature.
- Attention-seeking.
- Messy appearance.
MOTHER : must pass for 30 to 49 year old Female.
- Parental role.
- Kind and caring.
- Submissive to her son's manipulation.
- Soft nature, Strong voice.
** Unbearable Brothers Synopsis **
Stephen just can't explain Michael's behaviour. He's immature. He's annoying. He's idiotic... and he aggravates Stephen at every opportunity. But when Michael steals Stephen's last vestige of youth, his teddy-bear, Stephen finally confronts his brother to determine the reasons behind his actions.
It's an entertaining comedy drama of sibling relationship, brotherhood and maturity all before the start of another school day.

Auditions/Casting will be held at Edith Cowan University Mt Lawley campus on Sunday 22nd April and on Sunday 29th April 2007 from 1pm. Room 3.108 in Building 3. Email for further directions.
** Shooting Scheduled for consecutive Sundays; 13th May, 20th May and 29th May 2007. Location is a local household and an adjacent park in Mt Lawley **
