25-50 male actors needed for short film, Brisbane and near
Mon, 2 Apr 2007, 01:05 amim a film student in brisbane, and finally finished the script of my first serious short film, a 7 minute thriller with playing cards and murdering people.
the shooting would be due around june or july, i need six actors, as the story tells, all of them are serious gamblers. im looking for two main actors with a strong character (not exactly looking for male models:) and serious acting. not much dialogue, imagine some kind of an comic-style old western with watching each other for minutes then shooting someone. even the storyboard is ready, and i have almost all the equipment to shoot it as soon as the crew is up.
main actors:
25-35 black hair, possibly dark skin i-could-shoot-you-any-second kinda clint eastwood look and deep, scary voice, absolutely mental (check the trailer)
25-35 sneaky looking maybe bit overweight cheater, annoying smile
extras:
25-35 arrogant businessman
40-50 big, dodgy underworld-figure
18-23 thin, maybe littlebit feminine innocent victim
22-25 mr nice guy

here is the trailer of the film, the hungarian text says:
'there are too many people, who prefer winning, rather than playing. now, i changed the rules a bit'
im really sorry but probably i wont be able to fund any money for the expenses (rodriguez-style shooting), so i cant pay for the parts, unless i hit the jackpot or marry a rich girl, which is very unlikely at the moment.
of course, if i ever make any money out of the finished flick, that changes the situation, but right now for me its all about to make my scary little story to become a film. the shooting will probably take around 3-4 days in a bluebox studio, (the main actors will need to be there for the whole time, the extras less, probably between 1-2 days).

one more thing: ANY strong accent is COOL for the parts. i love'em
