Maybe they don't want it to

Maybe they don't want it to be defined as an AMERICAN musical as Tribal Love-Rock was WORLD WIDE. Not EVERYTHING is about America.

Whatever they want

it's title remains "Hair, The American Tribal Love Rock Musical. And it is about america. Is that all there is? Well if that's all there is my friend, then let's keep dancing. www.tonymoore.id.au

Legally, the title of the

Legally, the title of the show you applied for is "HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical" Please change!

Splitting Hairs

Let's not get silly about this. Splitting Hairs over an online promotional posting is simply ridiculous. The Legal oblication is only in relation to actual publishing materials such as Posters, Pamphlets, Merchandise, etc. To expect such attention to detail on a medium such as the Internet is simply unrealistic. Besides which, everyone knows what the show is, and about, just by saying HAIR. I've always known it as HAIR.

Nuff said.

I was a little picky I suppose

but, my point was not about legality. The show is an anazing celebration of an era and still one of my favourites although I feel it is rapidly becoming a museum piece. It is however (specifically in response to Walter Bitcher) about America, we here in Australia jointly shared an enormous part of the experience that gave birth to HAIR, our involvement in the Vietnam debacle, the draft, the whole "hippie" thing. These things happened very similarly in this country to the way they happened in the US. One enormous difference however is the focus the show places on the black american experience in the sixties. Vastly diferent from the experience of our indigenous peoples. This makes the show American which was the point I was trying to make not any nit picking about advertising and legal responsibilty. My respnse was aimed specifically at Walter Bitcher whomsoever he or she may be. Call the show what you please, I really don't mind. Is that all there is? Well if that's all there is my friend, then let's keep dancing. www.tonymoore.id.au

Good Friends

Hey Logos, no Fear Here. My comments were directed at 'Anon' who is of the opinion that as the name is technically and 'legally' thus, it should be thus at all times. I have very rarely disagreed with you and find myself repeating that trend today. ;-)

BTW - I read my messages at threads.

Hair

Being a babyboomer who lived onsite and was involved (off stage) every day/night for nine long months with the Amsterdam performance, trust me, Im happy to call it simply HAIR.
