Aspiring Director looking for a break
Mon, 8 Jan 2007, 08:55 amHey everyone. My name is Brenda and I'm a theatre lover. I'm a media student at Macquarie University and I would just love an opportunity to be able to direct or put together a stage show. I was just looking to see if someone would give me a chance to work behind the scenes for a play, whether it's directing, wardorbe, technical or anything at all. It doesn't necessarily have to be paid work, I just want somebody who'll take me on and show me the ropes. If anyone could give me any advice on how and where to start, I'd be most grateful. Thank you.

Why not get a bunch of your fellow students together and talk to the Uni about hiring a space and put on your own show. It's amazing what you can learn doing it this way. It's sort of how most of us old stagers got started.
Is that all there is? Well if that's all there is my friend, then let's keep dancing.
