Part B for Scriptwriters re Inktip
Sat, 6 Jan 2007, 07:09 pmMy apologies... IF an unfinished message of mine appears before this in the forum... I went to copy the subscribe link from my INktip.com newsletter and paste it in that message I had open on my screen but it accidentally clicked and opened up the link instead replacing my message which has now either disappeared or was posted incomplete - either way, I'll just copy that inktip.com newsletter here in its entirety - so you can see what it is about - and further down it has where you can sign up for the newsletter yourself. I couldn't find inktip.com on this site when I did a search so I thought I'd send this in case it is helpful for our Aussie scriptwriters... Also copying it here, it did something to the line spacing of the newsletter... I started to clean it up and then I got to that "to heck with it" stage and left it - in case you're wondering what happened...
Hi,
Welcome to the free newsletter from InkTip.com - one of the best ways to get exposure for your screenplays! Please see below for another company seeking scripts.
DEADLINE EXTENDED!
You can still get into the February issue of the InkTip Magazine! The deadline is today! Go to: www.InkTip.com/scriptlog_nolink.php
The team that brought you 'Blair Witch Project' just finished another film, 'Altered' (distributed by Universal), but this time the writer was found through InkTip!
As you probably know, 2006 was a banner year for InkTip. We had 20 movies, a couple of TV pilot teasers and numerous shorts produced in 2006 from writers and scripts found through InkTip.
Most recently, the feature movie 'Altered' was screened at Cinespace in Hollywood, where it was warmly welcomed by the audience. It also got rave reviews on Fangoria.tv and is doing very well with the critics. This psychological thriller horror was produced for a budget of about 5 million.
Jeff Johnsen, Eduardo Sanchez and Matt Compton found 'Altered' by Jamie Nash through InkTip.com The movie is now available at Blockbuster, Netflix, Hollywood Video and most anywhere else.
We are pleased to announce that another feature screenplay has been acquired. Screenwriter Barry Duffield has optioned his feature script 'The Nowhere Man' to Charis Orchard of Vivre Films. Vivre Films is an independent production company that operates in Australia, the United Kingdom and France. This is the third option from InkTip for Duffield.
Congratulations and best of success to all involved!

We are looking to hire a writer to develop one of our ideas. To be precise, I
am looking for produced or repped writers ONLY who specialize in horrors and
who've had their work placed with major distributors, i.e. Warner Bros, LionsGate, etc.
The only way I can know if a writer meets my sensibilities is to read one of
their horror scripts. Thus, if you meet the above requirements, please submit
a logline and synopsis for one of your horror scripts, and I will contact you
to submit the script if I am interested.
Budget has yet to be determined.
Please be sure to tell us what your writing credits are and where your works
have been placed when you submit to us.
I was one of the executive producers for 'Open Water,' and producer of the MTV
show 'The Grind,' and executive producer of the 'Official Rick James Movie.'

Your service has been extraordinarily helpful for our company (ie - the
Villikon Chronicles, etc.)...I wouldn't change a thing! You have discovered the
proper balance between Internet, publication and how it can be used as an
important tool for the film industry.
Brad Kushner, Dir Dev, Mason Burgess Lifschultz
[InkTip.com] is far and away the best place to find creative material that
suits my demographic, my genre and the wonderful messages that lie within.
~Writers have had to turn to an alternative source to get their material read
and InkTip.com is where they need to start.
Zachary Tanner, Joel Stevens Entertainment
You have a really terrific, well-conceived site that takes into account the
separate needs of the producers and of the writers. Writers need to be able to
get past the endless barriers so they can reach producers and all industry
professionals, who need to be able to search the site without being 'attacked'
by writers in return. It's a win-win situation.
Lee Martin, Writer
Thanks for your efforts. You are extraordinarily wonderful. I will support
InkTip/Jerrol LeBaron because of the care and dedication you extend to your
consumers.
