Hi Everyone. I'm 15 years old and would very much like to get into some serious acting. I love acting and would very much like to become involved in acting as a career. I can play any type of role and am very comited to what im working on. I also look old for my age and can play many complex roles. My favorite actor and idol is Hugh Jackman and i think the tasks he has acomplished in his career are amazing. I would very much love to be involved in any upcoming productions in Melbourne. I am looking for experience only, not pay. Regards Lachlan Trickey.

My tip ... find out your

My tip ... find out your closest local theatre company or group and go along to the next audition or workshop. Talk to people already involved in the industry and the local scene. Audition for anything and everything for the experience. For most local/amatuar productions you won't get any pay. If your looking to get serious find a reputable agent, they will help you find work. Its up to you to get yourself out there and get noticed.

There are heaps of

There are heaps of community theatres about in Melbourne. Depending on where you are I can name a few, as well as some local training schools and companies you might want to talk to. Some good places to start (not knowing where you are, I'm sorry if these aren't appropriate): St Martins Camberwell Theatre Co Malvern Theatre Co Red Stitch's acting classes on Sat's National Theatre in St Kilda For musical theatre, Whitehorse (CLOC?) Platform Youth Theatre .... There are plenty more.
