Actors needed for a short (10 - 12min) film in Perth.

Hi everyone, I'll be directing a short no budget 10 - 12 min movie this semester as part of a university project. The movie is mainly an action/thriller with a bit of comedy thrown in. The main story revolves around a holdup at a petrol station. At this stage I’m hoping to start shooting in about 3 weeks from now. The shooting process could take up to 3 - 4 weeks, mainly shot in weekends. This is a 3rd year university production and I have very high standards in my work, thus I would like to work with actors that are passionate about their acting and take things seriously. I have listed the characters I require for this production, if you are interested please email me with your acting resume, a current photo of yourself and the times you are available to act. I will then send you a copy of the script. An audition will most likely be held within a week or two. CHARACTERS: SPEER: A mafia like gang member who is out to get even with John. 25 – 40 years and has mean but ‘cool’, attitude. This attitude must translate to his clothes, walk and the way he speaks. Actors who audition for this role must be able to drive a car, possibly a manual. MIRANDA: John’s date from back in school. 20 – 25 years of age. Works at a petrol station and lives a fairly poor life. She is a drop out from TAFE. JOHN: Miranda’s date from back in school. 20 -25 years of age. He has moved on from his previous gang life, so he thinks anyway. A little nervous in character but he’s trying to get his life back in order. Has feelings for Miranda and can be confident when he needs to be. John is also a dropout from university. Actors who wish audition for this role must be able to drive a car, possibly a manual. LOU: Miranda’s boss, a little sleazy. 30 – 50 years old and works at the petrol station. Basically thinks he’s god. POLICE MEN: Three police men are required, for a short scene. 23 – 30 years old, must look their age. EXTRA MAN: A man who drives in to fill up at the petrol station, a very short scene for this character. 25 – 40 years of age.
