ACTORS WANTED FOR STUDENT FILMS

Hi, We are a group of students at Murdoch Uni currently in pre-production for our final two short films of our degrees, and are looking for some actors of various ages. Here are the details: 'Damage' is an original sci-fi thriller about a girl who breaks free of her cell like world (we mean that literally) in order to get back to her mother. For this film we need: Gen (18-23), female - main character, emanciated looking, may have to dye hair red or blonde (but we may not do this), a very emotionally and physically demanding part Mother (30s) - supporting role Young Gen (6-12) - supporting role The other film, tentatively titled 'Chrysanthamum', is a drama of a father and daughter coming to terms with the death of their wife/mother, and learning to live with each other under unforseen circumstances. For this film we need: Ryianne (30s) - main character, a very emotionally demanding part, must be willing to travel to Pinjarra (all transport will be provided) Dad (70s) - main character, a very emotionally demanding part, must be willing to travel to Pinjarra (all transport will be provided) Taxi Driver (30s - 40s) - supporting role Ambulance Officer (20s - 40s) - supporting role, must be willing to travel to Pinjarra (all transport will be provided) Mother (60s) - supporting role, being able to sing is a benefit but not required, must be willing to travel to Pinjarra (all transport will be provided) In terms of audition time, we are making private meetings with each person wishing to audition, starting now. She will then send you out a copy of the script you're interested in to read plus you test scene (or if you would like to audition for both, that's fine :) ), and the meeting will consist of a screen test and a general discussion about your thoughts on the film with the producer and the director, as well as nice getting to know each other thing. If you could also send us a black and white headshot photo of yourself that would be awesome. Auditions close on July the 10th, and shooting will be between July and September. This will most likely be unpaid work as they are tertiary films, but we are aiming to place both films into national and international festivals, so you will not only get exposure but also a film to add to your CV.
