MPAC In-House Productions
Monday 6 July 2009
Well, in the past few days I have had a real surge of effort in regards to putting together a production history for the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre's in house productions. As I have been trawling the internet looking for old posters and audition notices etc. I've begun wondering about my motivations? Why on earth am I doing this? What am I getting out of it? And the conclusion I've come to is that I'm really proud of the work that is done at MPAC. The reality is, I've been personally involved with less than a quarter of their productions, but I'm still immensely proud of everything that gets done. I love looking at the history of shows and seeing how the talent has developed over the years, how the production values have increased fantastically, how the technical aspects of production have both evolved and tightened up. I find it fascinating!
So who else has developed pride for their company? I know many have, otherwise the company pages on this website would be less than well maintained. I'm interested to hear from others who have taken up the mantle of record-keeper for the company(s) they work with. And then, I'm interested to hear how you went about gathering information from years gone by... Any hints or tips on how to get this information will be greatly appreciated :)
