It's not the ‘C’ word, it’s the ‘V’ word and it's the subject on everyone's lips....

The Vagina Monologues is Eve EnslerÂ’s hilarious tour into the last frontier, the forbidden zone at the heart of every woman.

Based on Ensler's interviews with a diverse group of women, from an antique dealer to a Bosnian refugee, The Vagina Monologues brazenly explores the humour, power, pain, wisdom, outrage, mystery and excitement of their most private parts.

Performed with laughter and compassion by some of PerthÂ’s most celebrated women, The Vagina Monologues gives voice to a chorus of lusty, outrageous, poignant, and thoroughly human stories that will transport you to a world youÂ’ve never dared to know. No one who sees The Vagina Monologues will ever look at a woman's body the same way again!

Sunday October 7 will see actor Vivienne Garrett, ABC radio presenter Verity James and author Susan Maushart take to the stage, followed by model Bree Maddox, actor Elizabeth Spencer and Greens MLC Giz Watson on October 14. The October 21 performance will feature actor Sophia Hall, 6PR radio presenter Jenny Seaton and retired State MP and former journalist Diana Warnock. Actor Gillian Berry, 92.9 breakfast show presenter Zara Grose and ABC radio and TV sports presenter Karen Tighe will then round-off the season on October 28.

The Vagina Monologues has enjoyed a phenomenally successful run in New York since 1996 and has toured the US and internationally, with performances in Jerusalem, Berlin, Athens, Zagreb, Rome, Sydney and a hit run in London.

" A brilliant piece of empowering theatre " Jane Fonda

"Yes, it's impossible to imagine a more horrendous title. Get over it. There's not an icky, eye-rolling momentÂ…" Gloria Steinhem

"Â…ground-breaking Â… titillating and a great new way of approaching the g-spot." The Age
