Based on the famous film, Some Like It Hot, starring Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon, Sugar is a musical comedy adapted for the stage by composer Jule Styne (Gypsy, Funny Girl) and lyricist Bob Merrill (Funny Girl).

Set in the 1920s, this hilarious farce tells the story of two out of work musicians and their cross-dressing adventures following an unfortunate brush with a Chicago gangland slaying.

As usual, nothing goes smoothly for our two heroes, as they sink ever-deeper into a quagmire of romantic entanglements and hare-brained schemes.

Punctuated by plenty of rollicking big band jazz numbers, ballads and chorus pieces, ARC Theatre's production of Sugar is a delightful, fun-filled romp, certain to get those audience feet a tapping.
