Normanhurst Uniting Church Musical Society (NUCMS) continues its celebration of bringing 30 years of musical theatre to Normanhurst with its presentation of “Little Shop of Horrors” by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken.

“Little Shop of Horrors” is a classic of modern musical theatre, drawing on the Faust legend, and based on the cult film of the same name. It tells the story of a young florist's assistant named Seymour Krelbourn, an employee of Mushnik's Skid Row Florist, who one day comes across a mysterious plant. The plant’s interests are revealed to be in serious conflict with those of the humans around it. The songs, by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken range from “Rock n Roll” to “Motown”, as well as the classic Broadway ballad style.

“Little Shop of Horrors” is directed by Dave Russell with choreography by Lisa Suleiman. Musical Director is Sally Osmond.

Performances of “Little Shop of Horrors” are on 7th, 8th, 15th, 21st, and 22nd October at 8pm and 15th October at 2pm at Normanhurst Uniting Church, Buckingham Avenue, Normanhurst. Tickets can be booked in advance by phoning 0438 611 795.
