Based on Plautus' ancient roman play, Shakespeare's "The Comedy of Errors" was one of his earliest plays and the plot revolves around the activities of twin brothers and the comic consequences of thier mistaken identites.
This production is directed by Terence Crawford, Head of Acting at Theatre Nepean, whose other productions in recent years have included "A Midsummer Night's Dream", "Sisters" and last year's "Traitors". This version is a energetic on with some changes. Women will play the twin servants to the twin brothers, but they are not spared any of the comic punishment dealt out by thier masters. Physical comedy will play a large part in this production; slapstick, exorcisms, wild chases, fights and one VERY fat chef! Not only is the action vigorous and "wacky", its running time is approximateley 1 hour and 30 minutes (plus 20 minute interval), making it Shakespeare's shortest play.
Matinee Performance: Saturday 24 November @ 2pm
Special School Matinees are Also Available:
Friday 16 November & Wednesday 21 November @ 10:30am
