DOUBLE UP
The New season from Harlequin Theatre Company Inc at the Patch Hall in May consists of two short comedies - “Seven Deadly Sins” and “That Scottish Play”. known as “DOUBLE UP”
The Biblical quotation, “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone” can be translated here as “Let he who is without sin come and see this show”. What do Ken and Barbie get up to in the “Lust” scene?
How does Rupert Bear deal with his “Jealousy”? Director Peter Thatcher invites you to come and find out.
Then imagine a small local amateur theatre company, a young Director straight out of University, an leading lady with a speech impediment who believes she is the next Nicole Kidman, an actor who can’t act but has lots of costumes and another suffering from Tourette’s Syndrome. The Drama Awards are only a few weeks away and the play in rehearsal is the ill fated “Macbeth” believed theatrically worldwide to be the “cursed” play.
