Belconnen Fresh Food Markets Buskers Festival
29-30 October 2005
The Belconnen Fresh Food Markets will come alive on the 29th October 2005 for the inaugural Belconnen Fresh Food Markets Buskers Festival 2005. Buskers of all ages and talents will entertain crowds over two days in the beautiful surroundings of the Belconnen Markets. Buskers bring a wonderful atmosphere to the festival. We do not have any limitations on what your busking abilities are, we just encourage all buskers to get up and have a go. Buskers from all walks of life, from local and interstate will perform over two days for the chance to win:
First Prize - $1800 (Donated by the Molonglo Group)
Second Prize - $700 (Donated by the Molonglo Group)
Third Prize - New Guitar (Donated by the Davis Wheeler Music)
Peoples Choice Awards - Organic Food Vouchers (Donated by As Nature Intended)
The judges will select finalists over the two days to perform on centre stage to select the winners and announce the ‘People’s Choice’ winner. We also encourage all buskers while not performing on stage to set up in the designated market area busking positions to busk away, encouraging crowds to support the buskers by adding a few coins into the hat.
