NRMA Motoring & Services has partnered with the Sydney Theatre Company (STC) to produce a unique and compelling theatre production about road safety. The play, Road Train written and directed by STC’s Resident Director, Community, Stefo Nantsou, targets young drivers with road safety messages with a quality theatre production featuring professional actors.
As part of the NRMA’s partnership with the STC, NRMA would like to extend an invitation to members and the public to attend free performances of Road Train in regional NSW centres and Canberra.
Road Train follows the story of Ryan (John Shrimpton) and his girlfriend Karla (Ellen Bailey), teenagers in a small town where a car is a young person’s ticket to freedom. It is Karla’s first day on her L plates and her father Eddie (Aaron Tsindos) is teaching his daughter about the responsibilities of being on the road. Meanwhile, Ryan appears in court for driving negligently, but whether he has learnt his lesson remains to be seen.
Everyone is welcome to attend the FREE performances, just RSVP for Road Train at www.mynrma.com.au/roadtrain. All audience members go into the draw to win a $250 Ticketek voucher which will be drawn at each performance.
