------- “Rookery Nook" #68 4 - 5 December, 1970 Our final production for the year was the evergreen Ben Travers farce, "Rookery Nook". This was a good choice for a final production. Unfortunately I have no programme to refer to, but, from memory, some of the cast included Gloria Dredge, Frances Lanza, John Boxshall, Alex Cruickshanks, Roger Smith, Aubrey Mattner and I do recall Irene Bishop in the part of Poppy Dickie, appearing at the appropriate moment on an upstairs gallery clad apparently in 'her undies', waving a small Union Jack, crying "buy a flag for the life boat".
