When you hear the words ‘It’s Showtime!’ you immediately think of girls, glitz and glamour! We've all sat in the audience and been entertained by the actors, singers and dancers on the stage - but behind the glitter, sequins and that flowing red velvet curtain is the real drama!

Set a few blocks off 'The Strip' in Las Vegas is La Rouge Lumiere - a cabaret club owned by Chienne and Connard Pennington. It’s opening night at La Rouge of their hot new show 'Lights!' starring leading lady Madeline Calais who has the voice of an angel and the attitude of a diva devil. Five hours before curtain, all hell breaks loose and what happens over the course of the evening will make or break the club.

Love, jealousy, fights and a club owner with a mid-life crisis all plays a part in the backstage drama that threatens to derail opening night.

Will it all fall apart? Or will the old adage of 'The Show Must Go On' ring true?

‘When The Lights Go Down’ combines the styles of contemporary favourites and that big band sound in this all new musical by Dark Psychic Productions.
