ACT TWO - ‘Dad’s Army’ – The Deadly Attachment
The time is 1940, “somewhere in England”, and the entire nation faces imminent invasion by Nazi Germany.
But fear not – the ever-vigilant, fearless and resourceful Dad’s Army Home Guard men are waiting. Men such as Corporal Jones, Godfrey, Pike, Frazer, Walker and Wilson, led by the likes of Captain Mainwaring have the wherewithal to take on the worst the Nazis can throw at them.
The Deadly Attachment concerns nothing less than hand grenades, a captured U-Boat crew and its malignant captain, and – of course – Hodges and the Verger. Mix these ingredients and you have the recipe for mirth, chuckles and laughter by the bellyful.
The Deadly Attachment will provide a VERY entertaining conclusion to Blackwood Players’ “MASKS of WAR”, as well as comprise our tribute to ‘Dad’s Army’.
When: January 26, 27, 28 & Feburary 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11 at 8pm
Where: Goodwood Institute (formerly Mayfair Theatre), 166a Goodwood Road, Goodwood SA 5034
Cost: $15 Adults , $12 Children. Note: BASS bookings incur a service fee
