Described as a family friendly piece, this  comedy  is a cheerful 'girl's own adventure story' and a light-hearted end to our 2011 year.

Daisy is a scholarship pupil at the exclusive Grangewood School for Young Ladies where most of the other girls are children of wealthy parents. Daisy has to overcome snobbish prejudice and schoolgirl pranks from her classmates and overcome many obstacles. Along the way she must overcome false accusations and even save the lives of her nemeses, finding a missing treasure and finally discovering her long-lost father along the way!

This play tried-out at the Nuffield Theatre in Sothampton, england in 1983 and transferred to the Gielgud Theatre in London's West End. It ran for 1180 performances, from April 1983 to February 1986.There was one revival in 2002, a tour in 2008 and a short run last year at the Arts Theatre in London.

The play won an Olivier Award and the Drama Theatre Award for best comedy.
