The Wizard Of Oz: The Play

There is no place like home. In the grand scheme of such an intricate world, this notion of home as comfort does seem appealing. But what if home is just merely a place? A place to sit amongst a white picket fence, enjoy the reassuring comp...any of loyal friends, and dream of what could be on the path to destiny. Through dreams, fate and imagination, Dorothy is compelled to a distant world. A world in which one must ask questions, wear their hearts on their sleeves and face obstacles even though the consequences may not sell themselves as being appealing. She accepts that the end product is worth the wait, and the wait is worth getting lost on the way. And upon her return, the spirals of adolescence, yearning and shielding are gone. There is no place like home. Heidelberg Youth Theatre presents “The Wizard of oz”, the play, with an all star cast and crew who are eager to showcase this timeless masterpiece. Directed by Elise Dorian, the show aims itself to the young at heart, and it is to these people we offer it to with pleasure. So come for the journey, who knows, you may just skip off home amid your own dreams.
