Catechism of a Revolutionary

Renegade Productions is proud to announce the unveiling of its latest theatrical opus: Catechism of a Revolutionary, opening September 29th and running until October 10th at Perth City Farm. Come, all you, and participate in this call to weigh up the cost of arms. Set in a world where war drums are beaten behind podiums preaching peace, and where such platitudes are televised for all the world to believe, Catechism of a Revolutionary is a parable for the human desire to right the wrongs of the world. It is an attempt to answer both peace and war-mongers, and will be presented in Renegade Productions’ signature mix of performance art, movement theatre and experimental design. Fusing elements of Euripedes’ Medea to the actions of men like Che Guevara and Thomas Paine, Catechism of a Revolutionary is a modern fable with an ancient twist, and seeks to add to the current polemic for and against violence inflicted throughout the world. “It is half past ten and time for bed. Rest your weary heads to the rhythm of the war drums. Lilt gently away to the chime of the bells that ring to sing to you that all is well.
