Inaugural City of Swan - Winter Arts Festival presents:
"Love, Lust & Revenge" - scenes from Shakespeare.
The inaugural City of Swan Winter Arts Festival is about to kick off with Love, Lust and Revenge – Scenes from Shakespeare in Guildford’s Garrick Theatre on August 29 and 30.This year four performances by WA Academy of Performing Arts students will be presented during August and September.
Tickets are heavily subsidised by the City of Swan to provide affordable tickets and allow people to enjoy quality music and theatre. Love, Lust and Revenge is co-presented by City of Swan Libraries who will have a Shakespeare themed display in the Guildford Library, where pre-show supper will be served. Supper is at 6.30pm and is included in the ticket price.UK Shakespearean expert Michael Jenn will direct Love, Lust and Revenge – Scenes from Shakespeare, which contains excerpts from all of the Bard’s best known comedies, histories and tragedies. School students studying Shakespeare are encouraged to take advantage of this exciting opportunity to see these scenes performed.
