From the magical pairing of Elton John & Tim Rice (The Lion King), comes a tale destined to become a modern classic. Woven with loyalty, betrayal and eternal love, AIDA is a tale that has been a traditional story, an opera and now a hit rock musical. Set in Ancient Egypt and using an eclectic mix of musical styles ranging from reggae to motown to gospel to outright rock, we experience a love triangle between Aida, a Nubian princess enslaved by the Pharaoh’s rule, Amneris a self involved narcissistic princess and Radames, the soldier they both love. A visual feast, AIDA has all the trimmings of a spectacular production, with breathtaking sets, lavish costumes & a dazzling array of lighting.
