Whitebox Ink Amateur Theatre Group invite you to see their performance of Agnes of God! It tells the story of a young novice nun Agnes, who gives birth but insists that the dead baby was the result of a virgin conception. She is found unconscious by the door with the dead infant in a wastepaper basket. Court psychiatrist, Dr Martha Livingstone is called in to determine Agnes' sanity, although Mother Miriam Ruth, the convent's mother superior is desperate to protect the fragile Agnes from any cross examination. Directed by Jayde Kirchert and starring Carina Waye as Agnes, Nina Barry Macaulay as the Mother Superior and Nicola Bramham as Dr Martha Livingstone, with original music by Chris O'Neill, Agnes of God is a moving story of an atheist, a mother and a novice all in search of a miracle. After having postponed the May performances, we are pleased to announce that we will be holding two performances on the 22nd and 23rd of August, both starting at 8pm at Chapel on Station Gallery, Box Hill Baptist Church, Corner Station Street and Ellingworth Parade, Box Hill. All profits will be donated to Chapel on Station Gallery (to help their work in supporting young emerging artists) and Oz Child - a charity that support victims of child abuse. So please come to support this worthy cause! Thanks for supporting emerging artists! Hope to see you there!
