Songs, battles, jokes and more - Oh it's a Lovely war The story of World War One is brought to life through the songs and images of the time in this moving and energetic musical. Armed with sketches, songs and stories, an ensemble cast mix their sombre buffoonery with the bawdy humour of the trenches to take you on an incredible journey across Europe: from the optimism of the British home front to the blood-soaked fields of Flanders. Along the way the story is marked by a fantastic collection of classic songs from the Great War such as Pack Up Your Troubles, Keep the Home Fires Burning and It’s a Long Way To Tipperary. From the WhipLash team that brought you the hugely successful Six Characters in Search of an Author in May 2007, Oh What a Lovely War will bring to life an age and era long past. Director: Gregory Jones Musical Director: Kate McIntosh Choregraphy: Claire Nichols Featuring David Berrie, Constantino Dias Mendes, Trina Di Crescenzo, Nicholas Hiatt, Ben Kotovski-Steele, Michael Leask, Izaak Lim, Pilar Mata Dupont, James McNeill, Anna Paterson, Jacinta Tavelli, Simon Thompson, and Rod Worth ...don't miss this fantastic musical event.
